Riviera di UlisseUlysses’ Coast is a territory on Tyrrhenian seaside between Rome and Naples and it includes 3 protected Nature Parks. The name comes from the literal masterpiece “The Iliad and the Odyssey” attributed to the antique Greek poet – Homer. As described in the legendary poem, the hero Ulysses experienced many adventures here, on this coast, during his 10-years lasting trip home.
This area has been always characterized by sea- and mountain views, now it is attractive with small medieval hill towns, archeological sites from antique Rome and vey live traditional cuisine. Discover this authentic Italy during a half-day or full-day sightseeing excursions.

 

MINTURNO. Medieval town center with Baronial Castle, St. Peters Church and labyrinth with narrow streets which finish in the squares with a breath-taking sea views. Archeological site of the roman city Minturnae with the ruins of amphitheater, temples and roman public buildings as well as via Appia, original floor mosaics and all this on the banks of border river Garigliano which divides the region of Lazio and Campania.

 

GAETA. The Monte Orlando Park with the complex of “Split Mountain”, Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity and the Turkish Cave. Medieval town center with the Cathedral, next to the port. Free time on Serapo beach.

 

SPERLONGA. Picturesque town center “Borgo” of Sperlonga with lighthouse – Torre Truglia. Historical evidences from the mightiness of antique emperor Tiberio in the Cave of Tiberio, ruins of the emperor’s villa and the national Archeological Museum enclosed.

 

TERRACINA. The ruins of the antique roman Sanctuary of Jupiter Anxur is emerging already the 3rd millennium on the top of the Mount S. Angelo (227 m above Terracina). In harmony with nature, panoramic sea views, the rests of smaller temple and historical artefacts from medieval period creates a unique complex of this site.
